摘  要:岛屿生物地理平衡理论已被初步证明能够运用于古生物地理学研究。但由于地质古生物学资料的局限性 ,目前运用这一理论对地史生物群进行相关研究主要表现在对相关问题进行检验。文章总结了对我国二叠纪华夏植物群进行岛屿生物地理平衡理论偿试性研究的各项成果 ,指出开展此项研究所需的地质古生物学基础和目前存在的一些缺陷。此外 。The analysis of spatial and temporal distribution patterns of the Permian Cathaysian flora has evidenced that the application of the equilibrium theory of island biogeography (ETIB) can be extended to palaeobiogeography (Wang et al ., 1998). The Permian Cathaysian flora is accessible to test ETIB in Palaeobiogeography because of its insular distribution in the Palaeozoic Palaeotethys(Text fig.1). To some extent, such a study has testified: 1) The species area relationship. The equation S = CM Z of the ETIB has been well testified by the Cathaysian floras respectively in the middle and late stages of the Early Permian and the Late Permian. Plotted in a reference frame, the logarithmic values of the numbers of species and the areas of those palaeoblocks of the Cathaysian flora including the North China, Jiangnan, Yangtze and Qiangtang blocks are distributed along with a straight line. 2) The effect of isolation. Statistic analysis on the earliest occurrences of the Permian common plant species may suggest a way of migration: North China →Jiangnan →Yangtze →Qiangtang blocks. The North China block, as the largest island, might probably be the original place of the Cathaysian flora. Such a conclusion is well accordant with the ETIB principle of the effect of isolation. Moreover, the above mentioned migration could be regarded as in the distribution way of “step stone” (Brown and Gibson, 1983). 3) Species turnover. Due to the insufficient study of the Cathaysian flora, the ETIB principle of species turnover could not be tested effectively. However, the rates of species turnover of the North China through out Permian also indicate that the original region of the Cathaysian flora might be North China. In the every stages of Permian, the rates of new species increase of the North China block are always higher than the rates of the species immigration, while the rates of species immigration of the other blocks are always higher than the rates of new species increase.
