摘　　要：《一个传奇的本事》与《湘行散记》、《湘西》构成湘西散文三部曲。《一个传奇的本事》不仅是乡土知识分子的沉浮史 ,湘西竿军的兴衰史 ,还是湘西知识分子超越地方历史宿命的希望之歌和一份作者生命追求、思想性格成因 。A Native Romance', 'Random Notes of Travelling in Hunan', and 'Xiangxi'constitute a Prose trilogy of Xiangxi.'A Native Romance'may be regarded not only as a sink-and-float history of the native intellectuals of Xiangxi, but also as a rise-and-fall history of the Gan army of Xiangxi. It is a hope song of Xiangxi intellectuals who are striving to transcend their local historical fate as well as a summary of the author's life pursuit, character cultivation and self-examination.
