Objective To study the significance and correlation between the nitric oxide (NO)?nitric oxide synthesis (NOS) and high-density liporotein(HDL-c) in the patients of brain infarction. Methods The values of NO and NOS high-density liporotein of sera in the group of 53 patients suffer from the brain infarction and the control healthy group of 40 patients were detected. Results The determination values of NO?NOS in brain infarction patients was higher than those in the control group( P <0 01 and P <0 05).The values of NO and NOS in the group of cortex artery infarction were higher than those in the group of lacuna infarction ( P <0 01 and P <0 05).However the determination value of HDL-c in brain infarction patients was lower than those in the control group. The values of HDL-c in the group of cortex artery infarction were lower than those in the group of lacuna infarction ( P <0 01). Moreover NO and HDL-c were correlated negatively in the brain infarction (r=-0 556, P <0 01).Conclusion The values of NO?NOS and HDL-c were not balance in the vary stages of brain infaction. It' s important to observe the changes of values of NO?NOS?HDL-c.
