摘  要:20 0 1年 2月 2 3日在四川省境内发生了 6 0级地震 ,其宏观震中位于雅江县与康定县之间的高山峡谷地带。极震区烈度达Ⅷ度 ,Ⅷ度区、Ⅶ度区和Ⅵ度区面积分别为 180、 1472和 3998km2 ,等震线分布总体形态呈椭圆形 ,长轴近南北向。震区建筑物普遍受损 ,山地灾害较为严重。据初步分析认为 ,此次地震的发生与理塘断裂和玉龙西断裂的长期活动有关 ,主干断裂活动造成地壳应力调整和集中 ,最终在块体内部的次级断裂上释放而发生地震。A M6.0 earthquake occurred on 23 February 2001 in the western Sichuan Province,hina.The macro-seismic epicenter situated in the high mountain-narrow valley region between Yajian and Kangding counties,with a Ⅷ epicenter intensity.According to the investigation on the earthquake site,the areas of Ⅷ,Ⅶ and Ⅵ region are respectively 180,1472 and 3998 km 2.The distribution of isoseismic line is generally oval in shape with a long axis trending near NS direction.The earthquake destroyed many bulidings and produced some phenomena of ground destruction.Possibly,this event was resulted from long period activities of Litang fault and Yulogxi fault,two main faults in the western Sichuan.The movement of the main faults makes the crust stress adjust and concentrate,and finally release on the secondary fault in the block through the form of earthquake.
