Objective To discuss the relations of sex hormone receptor and hepatic cavernous hemangionmas. Methods Blood sex hormone (estradiol, progesterone, testosterone) and tumor tissue hormone receptor (estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, epidermic growth factor receptor) had been analysed by reviewing method. Results ①Blood estradiol level was higher than that of male normal cases. But blood testosterone level and Estradiol level was lower than that of female normal cases; ②Blood estradiol, progesterone, testosterone levels of proliferative type of CHL cases were not different from atrophic type: ③Estrogen receptors of proliferative type CHL tissue were higher than that of atrophic type, and there were obvious difference. Epidermic growth factor receptors of proliferative type and atrophic type CHL tissue were all very high, but compared with each other, there was no difference. Progesterone receptors of these two types were very low, and there was no difference. Conclusion Blood estradiol concentration of CHL cases increases, but women blood testosterone and estradiol decreases, CHL is estrogen dependent tumor. High expression of estrogen receptor and epidermic growth factor receptor of tumor tissue may be related to the proliferation of CHL.
