基于语音库的英语专业学生拒绝言语行为研究——以拒绝主动提供为例

摘　　要：本文以中国英语学习者语音库(ESCCL)中选取的自发对话为研究对象,以Beebe et al.(1990)的拒绝策略通用模型为基础,对英语专业学生拒绝主动提供时的策略进行了研究。研究发现:主动提供—拒绝阶段,学习者采用的直接和间接策略略低于本族语者,比本族语者使用了更多的附属语;占比最多的策略为给出理由或解释,给出的理由比本族语者更加具体且多与家庭成员有关。在坚持—拒绝阶段,学习者更加间接和委婉,采用了"理由链"的模式。基于研究发现,本文对英语教学提出了建议。Taking dialogues from English Speech Corpus of Chinese Learners (ESCCL)as subjects and based on refusal strat- egies model put forward by Beebe et al.(1990),the paper studies refusal strategies to offering in English majors'speech. The results show that,in offering-response part,direct and indirect strategies adopted by English learners are slightly lower than those of native speakers.Learners use more adjuncts.The most proportionate strategy is giving reasons or explanations. The reasons given by learners are more specific than native speakers and are always relevant to family members.In insistence- response stage,the learners are more indirect and euphemistic and "reason chain"model is adopted.Based on the study,this paper puts forward some suggestions for English teaching.
