摘 要:新中国成立后,徐中舒先生努力将马克思主义的立场、观点和方法运用于中国古代史和巴蜀文化史研究。基于1949年以后巴蜀地区的考古新发现,徐先生运用新的史学观,于1959年和1960年发表了《巴蜀文化初论》和《巴蜀文化续论》。在"两论"中,徐先生论述了巴蜀文化与中原文化的紧密关系,梳理了巴蜀民族、部族之间杂居迁徙与相互融合的历史轨迹,进而得出中华各族"原来就是一家","中国"是因文化而立国的结论。徐中舒先生的"两论"与同期蒙文通、缪钺、冯汉骥、任乃强、邓少琴等先生关于巴蜀文化的研究争鸣形成了新中国成立后第一次巴蜀文化研究热潮。After the founding of New China, Professor Xu Zhongshu made great efforts to apply Marxist standpoints, viewpoints and approaches to the study of ancient Chinese history and the history of Bashu culture. Based on the new archaeological discoveries in Bashu area since 1949, Professor Xu published "Preliminary Study of Bashu Culture" in 1959 and "Continuation of Bashu Culture" in 1960, with his new historical perception. In his "Two Theories", Professor Xu discussed the close cultural and historical connection between Bashu and central plains, and traced back the ethnical and tribal cohabitation, migration and integration in the regions of Bashu. His study finds that all the ethnic groups in China are "originally from one family", and "China" was actually founded on its culture. Xu Zhongshu’s "Two Theories" and other studies on Bashu culture argued by his peer professors, including Meng Wentong, Miaoyu, Feng Hanqian, Ren Naiqiang and Deng Shaoqin, generated the first upsurge of research on Bashu culture after the founding of New China.
