摘　　要：基于电子邮件系统结构的分析和作为邮件传输代理(MTA)———邮件服务器的选择和配置,该文在Linux操作系统上设计实现了一种能够提供SMTP、POP3和Web邮件服务的邮件系统,整个系统运行的优化主要取决于机群邮件服务器的性能。在实验室环境中,在单节点或二至三个节点上对邮件系统进行配置和运行的结果表明:这种基于机群邮件服务器构建的邮件系统功能完善、可靠性较高、配置工作量较小、易于管理和扩展。Based on the analysis of electronic mail system architecture and selection of the mail server as a mail transfer agent (MTA),this paper designs a kind of mail system that can provide services of POP3,SMTP and web mail on Linux operating system.The performance of the whole system mainly depends on the performance of mail server.The result of configuration and the running the mail server on several node of the lab environment shows that such a mail system building with cluster -based mail server has perfect function,high availability,simplified configuration,easy manageability and scalability.
