摘　　要：给出各种情况下金属包覆四层平板波导的色散方程及其复数传播常数的高级近似解。In this paper a generalized formula for calculating the complex modal refractive index of 4－ layer waveguides with metal－ clad is presented and the dispersion equation is deduced.
