摘 要:《巴黎圣母院》是法国十九世纪浪漫主义作家维克多·雨果的著名代表作之一。小说始终贯穿了雨果在《〈克伦威尔〉序言》中所提出的美与丑、崇高优美与滑稽丑怪相对照的创作原则。这一对照艺术原则在小说中得以多方面的实践和运用 ,主要体现在故事情节展开的背景对比、情节与场景对比、人物与人物之间的对比、人物自身的美丑对比 ,以及人物不同阶段的性格对比这几个方面。雨果运用多样的手法 ,通过小说中美与丑、善与恶强烈对比的艺术原则 ,组织丰富多变的情节 ,塑造性格鲜明的人物形象 ,展示 15世纪法国社会光明与黑暗殊死抗争的画卷 。Notre Dame de Paris' is one of the representative works written by Victor Marie Hugo (1815 - 50), a romantic writer in the 19th century. In the 'Preface to Cramwall', Hugo put forward a writing principle of contrast between the beautiful and the ugly, between the noble and the negligible. This principle runs through the whole novel, mainly expressed in the following aspects: contrast between backgrounds, plots, scenes, the beautiful and the ugly in the different stages. By using many methods, Hugo, based on the principle of contrast, organized a colourful and varied plots and portrayed characters full of distinctive disposition. This novel reveals the struggle between light and dark of French society in 15th century, and expresses his writing kennel - the humanitarian thought based on love.
