摘　　要：我们可以从“三个层次”和“四条线索”理解“三个代表”重要思想。结合高教发展的趋势以及湛江师范学院的改革实践 ,只有深入领会“三个代表”的具体要求 ,才能真正提高高校的办学水平和办学质量。“三个代表”思想是衡量一所高校是否合格的基本标准。In this article ,we think it essential to proceed from '3 levels'and '4 ways'into comprehending the significant theory of'3 Representations'.Integrating the trend of reformations in universities with the reforming experience of our college ,the article holds that only a good master of the theory in detail can help advance the managements of universities .Therefore ,the theory of '3 Representations 'has become the touchstone for our work in colleges and universities.
