摘　　要：教务管理是高等学校管理工作的重要组成部分,具有导向教学、评价教学、服务教学的功能。提出教务管理要主动适应素质教育的要求,适时调整、优化学科结构,改革教师教学质量评价指标,加强自身建设,是有效实施素质教育的重要保证。Educational affairs administration in institution of colleges and universities is an integral part of all the school administrative work which functions in orientating teaching, evaluating teaching and serving teaching. It must adapt to the requirement of quality - oriented education actively; adjust and optimize curricular structure timely; reform the evaluation criteria on teaching quality; strengthen self-improvement. All these are the key guarantees in implementing quality - oriented education.
