摘　　要：《老人与海》是海明威最重要的一部作品,正是这部作品使他获得了1954年度诺贝尔文学奖,从而奠定了他在世界文学史中的地位。因此研究《老人与海》的艺术特色,对全面把握海明威的创作思想及写作风格无疑是十分重要的。本文初步探讨了《老人与海》的艺术特色:情节简单、主题深刻;运用象征手法;语言简洁,叙述凝练客观.The Old Man and Sea is and important work of Ernest Hermingway,Winning Noble Literature Prize in 1954 and making Hermingway a famous writer in the world.The inquire into the writing features of the Old Man and Sea is very helpful to understand the craft of Hermingway.This paper mainly discusses the writing features of the Old Man and Sea:simple plot,deep theme;symbolism;concise language and impersonal narrating.
