摘　　要：中国现代文学的主要标志是 ,它具有了不同于以往一切文学的现代性。现代、现代化、现代性三个概念既有联系又有区别。中国社会的现代性与西方启蒙现代性在追求自由民主、社会进步、科学和真理、个性主义、理性主义、人道主义等方面基本一致 ;西方现代性在发展过程中有内在矛盾 ,中国现代性亦然 ,青年鲁迅对此有清醒反思 ;由现代性角度切入 ,中国现代文学史的开端可以定在 1 9、2 0世纪之交或 2As the primary character and symbol of modern Chinese literature, modernity distinguish it from all the traditional Chinese literature before it. The three concepts of modern, modernization and modernity demonstrate both connection and distinciton. Modernity in Chinese society is, on the whole, consistent with that of the Western Enlightenment in pursuing freedom, democracy, social progress, science and truth, individualism, rationalism, humanism and so on. Western modernity had its inherent contradictions in the course of its development, and so did Chinese modernity, which was soberly introspected by Lu Xun. Approached from the point of view of modernity, the history of modern Chinese literature must have started at the turn of the 19 th and the 20 th centuries, or in the early 20 th century.
