摘　　要：以华中科技大学科技查新站2006-2012年完成的查新课题为基础,分析了高校科技查新用户信息需求的特点,论述了高校科技查新工作对高校科研立项及成果鉴定等的作用,并就拓展专利查新业务、提升科技查新服务创新能力进行了探讨。The paper takes novelty retrieval projects undertaken by sci-tech novelty retrieval center in I-Iuazhong University of Science and Technology in 2006-2012 as the basis, analyzes information demand characteristics of sci-tech novelty retrieval users, disserts the roles of universities＇ sci-tech novelty retrieval work on universities＇ scientific research projects and fruit identifications, and discusses how to develop patent novehy retrieval and to promote service capability of sci-tech novelty retrieval for innovation.
