摘　　要：描述梵高其经历无数的曲折和坎坷,却始终未得到作为画家的认同和尊重,最后在绝望中自杀身亡的生命历程;结合作品探讨和分析其艺术特色与绘画风格,主要表现在用笔奔放,对内心感情大胆探索、自由抒发,以及对线条和色彩表现力的强烈追求,其作品中强烈的个性和形式,深刻的悲剧意识,都极大地影响了20世纪的西方绘画艺术;揭示了艺术的真正价值在于精神世界而非物质世界。This article carried out a study of the painter- Van Gogh who had a short life span of 37years： first focused on his ups and downs, then little recognition and respect as painter, finally his suicide in desperation. Based on his works, the author analyzed his artistic characteristics and style of painting, which were mainly showed as bold exploration of the inner feelings, expression of freedom, strong pursuit of expression lines and color, deep tragic consciousness. What is mentioned above greatly affected western painting in the twentieth century. Finally, it reveals the true value of art that exists in the spiritual world rather than the physical world.
