摘　　要：高等学校学科设置不仅与学校人才培养结构、办学效益密切相关,也直接影响高等教育体系对经济社会发展的适切性。本文运用教育事业统计数据,对1994年来我国普通本科院校学科设置变动情况及其动因进行实证分析,并从优化学校学科类型结构、推进学科质量评估和拨款调控、加强人才供求信息服务等视角提出优化和调整高校学科设置的若干思考和建议。The discipline setting in regular HEIs is not only closely related to the institution＇s talent cultivation structure and educational performance, but also directly related to the compatibility of higher education system with social-economic development. The paper conducts an empirical study on the changing trends, features and driving forces regarding discipline setting in regular HEIs since 1994 based on educational statistics. Several suggestions on the adjustment and optimization of discipline setting in HEIs are also put forward.
