摘　　要：在《乔伊斯的伦理解读》一书中,玛丽安·艾德以后结构主义现象学家列维纳斯的伦理学为理论基础,融入女性主义伦理学,分析了爱尔兰作家詹姆斯·乔伊斯的《尤利西斯》、《为芬尼根守灵》等作品中的伦理困境。艾德强调读者在文本解读中的作用,她认为乔伊斯作品的叙事特征要求读者承担伦理责任,参与作品意义建构。该书的出版为文学伦理批评提供了逻辑严谨、论证充分的范本,也拓展了乔伊斯研究的视野,具有不可替代的开创性和实践指导意义。Ethical Joyce by Marian Eide analyzes the major works of the Irish writer James Joyce from the perspective of ethical literary criticism. The book is theoretically based on Levinas＇ ethical concepts of responsibility and the relationship of self and other, supplemented by feminist theory. Eide argues that Joyce＇s works are actually an invitation to the reader. She emphasizes the readers＇ role in completing the meaning of the works. Ethical Joyce has provided a model of ethical interpretation of literary works. It is a persuasive, logical and theoretically sound critique, which has won itself an irreplaceable place in the criticism of Joyce＇s works.
