摘　　要：在中国近代高等教育史上,胡先骕是集科学家、文学家与教育家等名誉于一身的大学校长。胡先骕高等教育思想溯源于其家学渊源、求学经历、教学与管理实践、学术历程与主张等。其高等教育思想集中体现在论高等教育精神、人才陶冶、留学方针与政策、学位与奖励制度、高等教育师资与师范教育、高等学校办学等方面,对当今高等教育改革与发展有重要启示。虽然胡先骕的高等教育思想难能可贵,但在其办学实践中并未能充分突显。Hu Hsen-hsu is a president who owns the titles of a scientist,literati and educator in modern Chinese history of higher education.His higher education thoughts can be traced back to the source of his learned family,school experiences,practice of teaching and management,academic course and opinion.The main idea of his thoughts in higher education are presented in higher education spirit,talents' cultivation,policies and guidelines of studying abroad,academic degree and reward system,faculty and normal education in higher education,and school-running in higher education.All of these bring the important enlightenment for reformation and development of higher education nowadays.It is a pity that his particular thoughts of the higher education were not sufficiently presented in his school-running practice when he was in National Chung Cheng University though his thoughts were valuable.
