摘　　要：随着信息化时代的到来,各种信息技术不断涌现,现代远程教育进入了蓬勃发展的时期,这一时期在技术的应用上呈现全面数字化、网络化的发展趋势。以流媒体技术、数据压缩编码技术为代表的信息技术在远程教育中得到广泛应用,也推动着现代远程教育的持续性健康发展。文章主要介绍现代远程教育的发展历程、现状以及关键技术,并提出了基于网络技术的现代远程教育发展策略。With the advent of the information age,information technologies are emerging,modern distance education has entered a period of vigorous development,this period presents a comprehensive digital,network development trends in the application of technology.Streaming media technology and data compression coding technology as the representative of the information technology have been widely used in distance education,which promoted the sustained and healthy development of modem distance education. This paper introduces the development history, current situation and key technology of modem distance education, and discusses the development strategy of modem distance education based on network technology.
