摘　　要：作为20世纪登上文坛的湖南女作家,丁玲一直是国外汉学界的研究热点,以美国最为突出。从线性历史的角度来梳理美国汉学界丁玲研究的三个阶段,并论析不同时期的美国汉学家如何运用多种理论方法来解读丁玲的作品及人生,可以为中国学界的丁玲研究提供一种新的视阈。As an outstanding Chinese female writer in the 20th century, Ding Ling has always been a hot spot in oversea Chinese studies. The studies on Ding Ling in American Sinology hold a significant place in the area of Ding Ling research. This paper is to analyze different historical periods of Ding Ling studies in American Sinology from the linear view point： the early stage, the turning period and the new flourish in recent years and to summarize the main theories and methods the U.S. sinologists used in each stage to interpret Ding Ling~ literary creation and life, thus to point out a clear vein to the studies on Ding Ling in American Sinology.
