摘　　要：本文以102名修读大学英语课程的中国大学生为对象,研究了英语电视新闻报道中的叙事表意画面对目标词词义习得的影响。研究发现:(1)叙事表意画面能够促进学生正确猜测目标词词义;(2)词义猜测的正确率与声画关系的紧密程度没有显著相关性;(3)画面对于目标词词义理解的正面效应受到学生英语综合水平的影响。文章最后探讨了这些研究结果对于外语教学的启示。Taking 102 Chinese college students from the college English courses as the subjects,this study investigates how narrative visuals in English TV news reports influence the acquisition of L2 word meaning.The study findings are as follows：（1） narrative visuals are helpful for the subjects to guess the meaning of the target words;（2）the accuracy of word meaning inference is not significantly correlated with the audiovisual correspondence;（3） the positive effect of visual clues on the acquisition of word meaning is mediated by English language proficiency of the subjects.The study finally discusses the implications of the findings for L2 classroom teaching.
