Objective To investigate the relationship between impulsive control disorders (ICD),mood dysfunction (MD) and dopamine in patients with Parkinson disease (PD).Methods The clinical data of 216 PD patients were collected. And they were investigated by a questionnaire of dopamine dysregulation syndrome (DDS).The dose of levodopa, equivalent dose of levodopa and total equivalent dose of levodopa were calculated, and the number of patients using dopamine agonists was counted. The relationships between ICD,MD and dopamine were analyzed. Results According to the DDS questionnaire,8 patients (3.7%) were diagnosed with ICD behaviors,53 patients (24.5%) had mood dysfunction. The differences of age, sex, disease duration, dose of levodopa, equivalent dose of levodopa, total equivalent dose of levodopa,H-Y stage, the rates of patients using dopamine agonists and onset of tremor between ICD group and non-ICD group were no statistical significance, neither did these items between MD group and non-MD group. Conclusion The dose of levodopa, equivalent dose of levodopa, total equivalent dose of levodopa and the rate of dopamine agonists are not related with ICD as well as MD in patients with PD.
