摘　　要：作为太平洋战场上的统帅,尼米兹和麦克阿瑟运筹帷幄决胜千里。他们之所以算无遗策,用兵如神,创造了彪炳史册的战绩,无不与他们的性格有关。性格不仅是军事指挥员重要的品质之一,也是演绎战争奇迹不可或缺的软实力,并左右着军事指挥员对战场形势的判断和战略战术的决策。截然不同的性格也深深地影响着他们的军事才能和指挥艺术,这主要体现在战略决策制定、战役战术指挥和组织协调等方面。As commanders on the battlefield of the Pacific Ocean, both Nimitz and Macarthur mapped out strategies and won the victories. That they made such numerous and glorious achievements in American military history is closely related to their individual characters. Character is not only one of the most important qualities for military commanders, but an indispensable soft power to achieve war miracles as well. It affects the commanders＇judgment of the situation on the battlefield and their strategic and tactical decisions. Quite different characters at the same time deeply influence their arts of command, which are reflected in the strategic decision, operational and tactical command, organization and coordination, and so on.
