摘　　要：知识生产是人类最基础、最重要的活动,由之衍生出人类文明的各种具体形式。近代以来,中华文明所遭遇的挑战的本质,是以现代科学为代表的西方先进知识生产方式对中华文明落后知识生产方式的挑战。面对这种挑战,中华文明不得不广泛而深刻地放弃传统的知识生产方式、技术、社会治理方式、公共交往方式、伦理特征、风俗礼仪等,从而使这些方面呈现出断裂特征。当然,这种断裂总体是进步的。要使中华文明有效赓续甚至超越西方,最重要的是,它必须以汉语为载体,在知识生产上为人类作出贡献。Knowledge production is the most important and basic human activity,from which various kinds of concrete forms of human civilization are derived. Since modern times,the essence of challenge Chinese civilization encountered is that the western advanced mode of knowledge production represented by modern science challenges the out- dated mode of knowledge production of Chinese civilization. In the face of such challenge,Chinese civilization has to widely and deeply give up the traditional mode of knowledge production,technology,the way of social governance,the way of public communication,ethic characteristic,custom,etiquette,etc.,to make these aspects broken in characteristics,which are generally in progress,of course. To make Chinese civilization effectively inherited,the most important thing is that it must make contribution to mankind in knowledge production with the Chinese language as the carrier.
