摘 要:本文采用个案研究方法,探究对外汉语课堂英语通用语使用的切入点、作用和效果。研究发现:不同教师使用英语的切入点不同,主要与互动中教师反馈方式有关,一种是前摄性形式教学,预设语言形式焦点,为预防理解性问题,使用英语进行会话调整;一种是反应性形式教学,焦点在意义协商,根据学习者在互动过程中做出的反应,使用英语进行会话调整,解决问题。英语通用语在对外汉语教学中起会话调整的作用。语码交替成为课堂话语特点之一,句际轮换比句内混合对输入理解的促进作用更为明显。本研究为课堂媒介语的使用及教学方法提供参考。This is a case study on the occasion, function and effectiveness of English as Lingua Franca (ELF) in teaching Chinese as a second language. It is found that the occasion of employing English is different from the two ways of teachers' feedback. One is proactive focus-on-form by which the teacher focuses on language forms to avoid comprehensive problems and the other is reactive focus-on-form, by which the teacher focuses on meaning negotiation and modifies the previous speech to solve the problems. ELF plays a role of interactional modification. Code-switching is one of characteristics of class conversation. Code-alternation is more effective than code-mixing to facilitate input comprehension. This study aims to provide suggestions on language choosing and teaching methods in the natural classroom.
