摘　　要：目前,钻石行业顶级鉴定机构每天的检测量非常大,同时,国际检测机构对高质量宝石级合成钻石的报道成为行业的高敏感话题。本文旨在保障消费者的信心、行业的稳定以及长期发展,响应行业目前热点中的热点——快捷并准确地检测市场上的钻石是国际钻石行业及检测机构迫在眉睫的大事。笔者以2014年春天在上海钻石交易所(SDE)运用美国宝石学院(GIA)推出的快捷检测合成钻石设备——DiamondCheckTM的测试亲历,通过查阅信息资料、咨询业内人士等方法,研究了合成钻石的市场和快捷检测合成钻石设备的现状,进一步介绍了国际顶级鉴定机构几乎同时推出的三项设备:HRD Antwerp(比利时钻石高层议会)的Alpha Diamond Analyzer(阿尔法钻石分析仪)、GIA的DiamondCheckTM以及De Beers(戴比尔斯)的Automated Melee Screening Device(自动小钻筛选器)。最终明确表明"合成钻石百分百可检测"的行业信心。Confidence and assurance of consumers are the foundation of a stable and healthy gem and jewelry market. Over the past few years, reports of undisclosed synthetic diamonds have caused wide-spread concern. Gem trade organizations and gem testing labs called syn- thetic diamond alerts. At the same time, top gem testing labs are under mounting pressure to accurately and efficiently finish thousands of stones every day. Consequently, a race is on among these labs to develop test instrumentation to efficiently and reliably sort out synthetic diamonds particularly among smaller to melee diamonds. In the spring of 2014, three top testing labs almost simultaneously released their products to the strategic hubs of diamond trade across the globe. Three types of instrumentation are HRD Antwerp＇s Alpha Diamond Analyzer, GIA＇s DiamondCheckTM, De Beers＇ Automated Melee Screening Device. The au- thor would like to provide a timely update on current market development and the industry＂hot-topic＂. Against the backdrop of this alarming market situation and heated technical race among the top gem testing labs, the author （Yu Jinding） was the intern at the Shanghai Division of HRD Antwerp in the spring of 2014. And in February 25th, 2014, the author witnessed the introduction and initial testing of GIA＇s DiamondCheckTM on the 14th floor of Shanghai Dia- mond Exchange （SDE）. The article details the initial test results and comparison of the three types of devices. Synthetic diamonds from CVD and HPHT have been recently reported to reach top color and clarity in the 1 carat range. In response to this development of synthetic diamonds, De Beers assured the trade and clients with its opinion that ＂syntheticsare 100% detectable＂ which is further supported by the Gemologieal Institute of America （GIA）.
