摘　　要：促红细胞生成素(erythropoietin,EPO)不仅具有促红细胞生成作用,更是一种多组织分布、具有组织保护作用的多功能细胞因子。近年来,越来越多科学家注意到EPO的抗抑郁潜能,并提出可作为新型抗抑郁的选择性药物。该文概括了EPO在抗抑郁效应的基础及实验研究,并阐述了其可能机制及其临床应用前景,旨在对EPO在抑郁症中的研究及应用现状有一个系统认识。Erythropoietin （EPO）,which is routinely used in clinic to treat anemia,has been implicated in a wide range of activities on diverse tissues.Recently,accumulating evidence shows that EPO has antidepressant-like effects and may be a po-tential drug candidate for treating mood symptoms and memory dysfunction in depression.This review summarizes the current＆amp;nbsp;progress on EPO’s antidepressant-like effects,and explores its potential mechanism and clinical application in the future,provi-ding a general view of the research and application status of EPO in depression.
