摘　　要：文学的社会价值是指文学作为一种社会现象,一种社会意识形态对整个社会而言所具有的价值意义。通俗小说在大众文化背景下得以迅猛发展,拥有了越来越多的读者大众,在人们的精神生活中占据越来越重要的地位。通俗小说除具有娱心悦神的审美价值外,也具有多维度的社会价值。在大众文化的当下社会里,它的诸多社会价值无疑得到了最充分的体现和发挥。首先,通俗小说题材丰富,具有极强的社会认识价值;其次,通俗小说关注国计民生,具有一定的政治价值;第三,通俗小说扬善抑恶,具有积极的伦理道德教化作用;第四,通俗小说的市场化运作,推动了经济文化的繁荣;最后,通俗小说题材和艺术追求的多样化,促进了文学自身的发展。The social value of literature refers to the significance of literature as a social phenomenon and a social ideology as a whole to the society. With the rapid development in the context of mass culture, and with a growing number of readerships, popular fiction occupies an increasingly important position in people＇s spiritual life. Besides the enjoyable aesthetic value, popular fiction also has multi-dimensional social value. In modern society of mass culture, many social value of popular fiction has undoubtedly been fully expressed and developed. Firstly, popular fiction has rich themes and strong social awareness; Secondly, popular fiction focuses on national welfare and people＇s livelihood, thus it has certain political value; Thirdly, popular fiction rewards good or evil, and plays a positive ethical role of education; Fourthly, the market operation of popular fiction promotes economic and cultural prosperity; Finally, the diversity of popular fiction themes and artistic pursuit accelerate the development of literature itself.
