中澳国防白皮书之叙述风格比较研究

摘　　要：主要通过WordSmith软件分析澳大利亚国防白皮书的语言风格,包括词频、句长、词长和关键词,得出结论:澳国防白皮书的译文风格简洁明了,更易为大众读者理解和接受。这给中国国防白皮书的英译以一定启示:译文也应尽可能简洁地道,从而有利于我国的战略方针得到国外读者的理解和尊重,树立我国、我军良好形象。This paper analyzes the linguistic style of the Australia＇s Defense White Paper, including its words＇ frequencies, sentences＇ lengths, words＇ lengths and key words by using Wordsmith, and reaches a conclusion that the translation of Australia＇s Defense White Paper is concise and clear, and much easier to be understood and accepted by ordinary readers. It gives some enlightenment to the English translation of China＇s Defense White Paper： the English version should be concise and idiomatic, and it will make foreign readers understand and respect our strategies and is helpful to establish a good image of our country and our Army.
