摘　　要：有泰是清末光绪年间的驻藏大臣,在政治上缺少铁腕般的政治魄力和韬略,在复杂的政治环境中无计可施,任事态发展,用丧权辱国来定位他的边吏功过一点也不过分。他又是在中国传统文化土壤中被培育出来的,中庸之道是他的处事哲学,明哲保身是他政治生活的底线。在他身上体现出浓厚的文化关怀和存史意识,并以其良好的文学素养,为我们留下了近四十万字的《驻藏日记》,客观上为藏族文化的传播和蒙汉满多民族文化的融合做出了贡献。观其一生,政治上毫无建树,文化生活上却值得一提。You Tai was a resident minister in Tibet during the period of Guangxu years. In the complex political environment, he was awful incompetent for his lack of political courage and intelligence strategy, which caused the political situation deteriorating rapidly. The historical evaluation for him as a guilty person surrendering a country＇s sovereign rights was not excessive. However, You Tai＇s permnality spirit was rooted in Chinese traditional culture. He persisted in the philosophy of a mean course and the political baseline that to be wordly - wise and play safe. Such elements made him showed great culture concern and historical sense. You Tai had an excellent altitude in literary creation. During his life in Tibet, he wrote The Diary of Residence in Tibet with four hundred thousand words, which objectively made a contribution to the communication of Tibetan culture and cultural integration of Mongol, Han, Manchu and other nations. From the perspective of You Tai＇s life, He can be recognized as a loser in policy and an achiever in cultural life.
