摘 要:本研究以访谈的方式探究了学生在出国交换期间跨文化交际能力和自我身份定位的变化。两名北京某高校大三英语专业的学生参与了本研究,他们均在三年级期间参加了为期一年的出国交换项目。结果显示,尽管被试觉得难以融入当地文化,但是交换使他们更多地了解了当地文化及其与母语文化的差异,对其他文化更加包容,并提高了自己的跨文化交际能力。就身份而言,两名被试认为自己的中国人身份在交换期间没有任何变化,甚至略有加强;同时,他们觉得自己变得更加关注时事,并更趋向于从不同角度看待同一事件。The present interview study investigates the changes in intercuhural communication competence and self-identities of 2 third-year English majors from a university in Beijing who joined a one-year study program abroad. The results show that the participants, though finding it hard to blend in the local culture, have become more aware of the differences between the home and host cultures and more open to other cultures, and have promoted their competence in intercultural communication. Meanwhile, they report that their sense of being Chinese is slightly strengthened, and that they are more concerned with international affairs and tend to examine the same event from different angles thereafter.
