摘 要:接受美学理论认为,读者的阅读活动对文学作品意义和价值的实现具有重要作用。《戴西·米勒》是亨利·詹姆斯创作初期一部成功的中篇小说,具有深远的文化影响力,引发了读者的广泛讨论。运用伊瑟尔的接受美学,将作品文本中的读者召唤结构——"隐含的读者"分为语言的缺省和模糊性、情节的缺省以及特殊的叙述视角三类内容进行举例分析,肯定其对实际读者对文本再创造的引导作用和读者的阅读活动对文本意义实现的价值和重要性。Receptional Aesthetic holds that reader’ s reading is essential for the realization of the value of literary works. Being as a successful novella during Henry James’ early creation period, Daisy Miller has thorough cultural influence and arises reader’ s exten-sive discussions. Using Iser’ s theory of Receptional Aesthetic as its study method, this paper tentatively divides the contents of re-sponse-inviting structure of Daisy Miller’ s text—“the implied reader”—into three types, including the omission and ambiguity of lan-guage, the omission of plots and special narrative point of view. Through analyzing by examples, this paper confirms the function of the implied reader’ s guidance towards actual reader as well as the importance of reader’ s reading activity to the actualization of literary work’ s textual meaning.
