功能语法视阙下的英语惯用语变异研究

摘　　要：语块(包括惯用语)研究在二语习得领域引起广泛关注,相关研究均表明中国大学生英语能力长期在低水平徘徊,主要体现在某些语块过度使用或使用不足上,显性或隐性的不地道表达普遍存在。以功能语法中的语法隐喻理论为框架,来分析中国大学生在写作中最常用的惯用语"every coin has two sides"在COCA语料库中的变异现象,剖析其背后的语法隐喻规律,通过分析试图表明惯用语也有其结构上的灵活性和意义上的丰富性,以突出隐喻思维的普遍意义。Chunks （ including formulaic language） have been the center of study in second language acquisition.Many resear-ches show that Chinese college students’ lack of English linguistic competence mainly reflect in their overuse of certain linguistic chunks and using fewer types of chunks.And they create unauthentic expressions, explicit or implicit.By applying the theory of grammatical metaphor from functional grammar, this paper analyzes the variation pattern of“every coin has two sides” in COCA cor-pus in an attempt to show that formulaic language is also flexible in structure and rich in meaning and it is of great significance to cultivate metaphorical thinking.
