摘　　要：高校体育是我国教育事业的重要组成部分,体育教师所从事的职业,是推动人类社会身心健康发展的永恒事业,教师队伍素质高低决定着学校教育的成败,关系青年学生的成长和未来。建设一支适应新形势发展要求的高素质体育教师队伍已迫在眉睫。文章探讨高校体育教师应具备素质,高校体育教师队伍现状及存在的问题,对如何在新形势下培养高素质体育教师提出若干意见。College physical education in China is an im-portant part of education. The teachers’ job,is to promote the development of human society, the eternal cause of physical and mental health. Quality of teachers determine the level of success or failure of school education,It’s the key to young students’ development and future. Build a new high-quality PE teachers team is imminent. This pa-per discusses the PE teachers should have the quality,the current status and the problems. It points out some ideas of how to train the high quality PE teachers under the new situation.
