摘　　要：老舍可说是接得上"地气"的"草根儿"作家。其原因除了老舍出身寒门以外,至少还有两个基本原因:一是他在青少年时期,有过佛教和基督教方面的双重宗教思想介入,对于普度众生与博爱世人的精神方式,心领神会,而且有深入的践行;二是他来自京旗满洲群体,继承民族的传统,接受过浓重的民间艺术濡染。老舍又不是一般的平民作家,而是其中的杰出者。其杰出之处,首先体现在他为了让自己的作品尽可能地通俗易读,使尽了气力。另一个突出的特征,就是他的文笔坚持着通俗却不媚俗的原则。老舍还不满足于仅仅摹写出市民社会"低层次"的生存真实,他更善于以现代人文精神、人文情怀,烛照自己的书写。Lao She was a grassroots writer. He was born into a poor family. In his youth he knew something of Buddhism and Christianity and understood much about universal love and fraternal love. Also, as he came from the Man people, he inherited ethnic traditions and was exposed to strong folk art. He was not merely a civilian writer but an outstanding writer. He was not satisfied with popular writings only, but excelled in humanism, humanistic care and self- depiction.
