摘　　要：加拿大原住民被称为第一民族、梅蒂人、因纽特人,本文探索了给加拿大原住民带来伤害与悲剧的寄宿制学校的运行机制,审视了这些学校对原住民学生生活、家庭和文化造成的恶劣影响。尽可能全面反映了过去20多年来原住民要求正义的勇气和决心,肯定了那些为原住民提供帮助和倡议的团体的工作,认可了在这一历程中加拿大真相与和解委员会为支持原住民做出的努力。Aboriginal people in Canada are called the First Nation, Metis and lnuit. This paper describes the operating mechanism of boarding school which caused suffering and tragedy to Canadian Aboriginal people, and examines the baneful influence of these schools on students＇ life, family and culture. It also makes a full disclosure of aboriginal people＇ s courage and determination for justice in the past 20 years, and praises highly the work of the associations in providing help and advice for aboriginals as well as the efforts made by Canada＇s Truth and Reconciliation Commission to support them.
