摘 要:在水表读数识别领域,半字符识别一直是众多学者研究中的难点,阻碍着水表读数识别系统在实际中的应用。改进的算法在模板匹配算法的基础上,考虑了半字符高度的因素,在上下半字符是一长一短的情况下,剔除过短的半字符,仅计算较长半字符与模板的匹配度。结果表明,该方法可以准确识别各种情况下的半字符,并且大大降低了易混淆数字如6、8、9的误判,有效提高了水表读数识别系统的识别能力。In the area of automatic meter reading, the hall-word recognition was the diffilculty m most scholars' research, which became an obstacle in the practical application of automatic meter reading system. The improved half-word recognition method was proposed based on template matching, and the height of half-word was considered. In the case of those half-word, being composed of one long and one short, the algorithm was just calculated the matching coefficient of the longer half word with its template, and the shorter one was not considered. The result showed that this method could precisely recognize half- word in various situations, and it was greatly reduced the confusion during numbers like 6, 8 and 9. It could significantly improve the recognition ability of the automatic meter reading system.
