摘　　要：本文首先将多音字"落"的语义进行了分类,然后在此基础上分析了"落"的基本义与其他义项间的联系机制。研究发现,转喻和隐喻在"落"的语义发展变化中共同起作用,相互补充。本研究证明,认知语言学的相关理论为汉语多音字的研究提供了新的视角和方法。The Chinese polyphonic character ＂luo＂ is of varied senses. This paper first categorizes the senses of ＂luo＂, and then analyzes the relation mechanism between its basic meaning and its extended senses. The study shows that metonymy and metaphor play an important role in the semantic development of ＂luo＂ and that the relevant theories of cognitive linguistics pro- vides a new angle and method for the study of Chinese characters with multi-pronunciations.
