摘 要:南瓜在16世纪初叶首先传入我国的东南沿海和西南边疆,长江中游地区(皖、赣、湘、鄂)较早的分别从东南沿海和西南边疆引种南瓜,之后推广迅速,但不同省份在具体的引种、推广过程中又呈现出各自的特点。清中期南瓜已经在长江中游地区推广完成,晚清民国时期形成了稳定的产区,南瓜的救荒作用发挥得淋漓尽致。除了阐述南瓜的引种、推广的路径和分布情况之外,推广的动因和影响尤其值得重视。Pumpkin was first introduced to the southeast coast and the southwest border in China in the early part of the 16th Century. The middle reaches of the Yangtze River (Anhui, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hubei) re- spectively introduced pumpkin from both southeast coast and southwest border, then spread rapidly. But in dif- ferent provinces which have their own characteristics in spread-process. The spread of pumpkin has been completed in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in the middle of the Qing Dynasty. And formed stable production area in the late Qing Dynasty and the period of the Republic of China. Pumpkin play a important role in relief of famine and disaster. Besides research on the time and the path of pumpkin' s introduction and spread, motivation and influence of pumpkin' s spread especially worthy of attention.
