摘　　要：与前两部小说相比,桑塔格的第三部小说《火山情人》获得了读者和评论家更多的认可,也被桑塔格自己认为是"最为满意的作品"。作品选取的历史题材和大量可辨识的作者评价使这部作品被称为是一部"道德故事"。显然,桑塔格不是传统的现实主义作家,更不是运用说教的方法来传输某种道德理念。运用伦理批评的方法,本文作者认为桑塔格在《火山情人》中充分运用了作者型叙述者、复数化聚焦和女性化视角等多种叙述手段呈现了一种观看的伦理。Compared to the previous two novels, Susan Sontag＇ s third novel, The Volcano Lover receives better acceptance both from the readers and from the critics. It is also said that Sontag herself loves this novel the best. The historical materials and the abundant authorial comments make it ＂a moral tale＂. However, Sontag is not a traditional realistic writer, nor does she try to instruct her reader with a certain moral. Based on the methods of ethical criticism, the author of this article argues that Sontag shows us an ethic of ＂seeing＂ in The Volcano Lover through her use of authorial narrator, variable focalization and female perspectives.
