摘  要:澳大利亚儿童早期发展指数(AEDI)是关于学前一年儿童发展水平的监测工具,它改编自加拿大儿童早期发展评价工具,通过对身体健康、社交能力、情绪成熟度、语言和认知技能、沟通技能和常识五个维度的测量来反映学前一年儿童的发展水平。AEDI经过了漫长而严谨的研制过程与验证以后,开始在全国范围内正式实施,形成了从国家到社区等不同层面的学前一年儿童发展状况的庞大数据库,为促进澳大利亚早期教育发展发挥了巨大效用。The Australian Early Development Index (AEDI) adopted from the Canadi- an Early Development Index has been used to determine the development level of children enrolled in the first year of formal full-time school in Australia. The AEDI consists of five key components including physical health and wellbeing, social competence, emotional ma- turity, language and cognitive skills, communication skills and general knowledge. Prior to the final national-scale implementation of the AEDI, a long-term and strict development and validation of the AEDI were conducted. The present-day AEDI database provides com- prehensive information of development levels of children in their first year of formal full- time school ranging from community-scale to national-scale, benefiting the development of Australian early childhood education significantly.
