社会语言学视角下的中英大学生对比研究

摘　　要：称谓语既是人们在言语交际过程中打招呼时表示彼此关系的词语,也是人类言语交际中不可或缺的一部分。一般来说,称谓语分为亲属称谓语和社会称谓语,而社会称谓语又是称谓语中较为活跃的一部分。然而,目前许多大学生却不能恰当地使用社会称谓语。本文通过问卷调查、观察、访谈和记录等方法对河南理工大学和英国朴茨茅斯大学的246名大学生社会称谓语的使用情况做了调查,用SPSS法对统计结果进行了分析,并主要从其构成和来源两方面分析了大学生使用社会称谓语的特点,探讨了影响大学生使用社会称谓语的因素,如性别,专业,年级等。大学生社会称谓语既是一种语言现象,也是一种社会、文化现象,它不仅具有重要的社交礼仪作用,还具有一定的社会文化研究价值,以此进行的深入研究,能反映出社会普遍使用社会称谓语的情况,对研究语言和社会的互动关系、语言政策的制定和开展以后的相关研究都具有深远的参考价值和现实意义。Appellation is the word which people use when they greet each other in the process of communication, which plays a decisive role in our daily life. In general, appellation can be divided into kinship appellation and social appellation, and the latter is more active. Nowadays most students can not communicate with others smoothly, and one of the reasons is that they can not use social appellation freely. This study applies the theoretical framework of power and solidarity, takes 246 students from Henan Polytechnic University and The University of Portsmouth as the investigation subjects, and adopts questionnaires, observations, and recordings as main tools. With SPSS statistics, the author analyses the characteristics of college students＇ social appellation mainly from the composition and the source, and probes into the factors that affect college students＇ use of social appellation, such as gender, major, grade, etc. College students＇ social appellation is a linguistic phenomenon as well as a social and cultural one, which not only plays an important role in social etiquette, but also has some social and cultural research value. So the in-depth researches can reflect the widespread use of social appellation, promote language and social interaction, and regulate the language policies which have far-reaching reference value and practical significance in language study.
