摘 要:新时期以来,伴随中美两国外交关系的不断变化与留学政策的发展演变,留美教育大致经历了恢复与快速发展(1978~1988年)、遭遇顿挫与回暖(1989~1997年)、深入发展与繁荣(1998~2014年)三个发展阶段。中美建交后,美国迅速成为中国最大的留学目的国,中国留美生也逐渐成为美国国际学生的最大群体之一。新时期留美教育的发展是中美两国政府与民间力量共同努力的结果。近年来,中美两国趋向宽松的留学政策及中国国内留学热的持续升温使留美教育呈现出大众化、低龄化、多元化的发展趋势。Since the new period with the continuous changes of Sino-US diplomatic relations and the development evolution of studying abroad policy,studying abroad in America has gone through 3 development phases:the recovery and rapid development phase(1978-1988),suffering setback and getting warm phase(1989-1997) and in-depth development and prosperity phase(1998-2014).After the establishment of SinoUS diplomatic relations,the United States rapidly become China's largest destination for studying abroad,Chinese students in America has become one of the largest international group of American international students.The development of studying abroad in America in the new period was the result of the joint efforts from Sino-US governments and non-governmental forces.In recent years increasingly loose environment of Sino-US studying abroad policy and the heating-up of studying abroad made studying abroad in America show the development tendency of popularity,younger age and diversification.
