Objective To investigate the expression of FAK,NF-kappa BP65 and VEGF-C in squamous cell carcinoma of lung and adenocarcinoma in order to detect their relationship with the clinical pathologic feature of patients with squamous cell carcinoma of lung and adenocarcinoma. Methods The immunohistochemical staining method was used to detect the expression of FAK( focal adhesion kinase),NF-κBP65( nuclear factor-kappa BP65)and VEGF-C( vascular endothelial growth factor-C) in squamous cell carcinoma of lung and adenocarcinoma( n =75) and 30 normal cancer tissues. Results The positive rates of FAK,NF-κBp65 and VEGF-C expression were57. 3%( 43 /75),85. 3%( 64 /75) and 65. 3%( 49 /75) in cancer tissues and 13. 3%( 4 /30),16. 7%( 5 /30)and 0%( 0 /30) in normal tissues. The expression level of FAK,NF-κBp65 and VEGF-C was closely related with cell differentiation, clinical stages and lymph node involvement( P〈0. 05). Conclusion The high expression of FAK,NF-κBp65 and VEGF-C plays a crucial role in the carcinogenesis and progress of lung cancer. The targeting treatment to FAK,NF-κBp65 and VEGF-C may be a novel mean for lung cancer.
