Objective To study the clinical effect of hyperbaric oxygen plus postoperative radiotherapy in the treatment of brain tumor. Methods From December 2009 to December 2013,126 brain tumor patients were enrolled as the research object and they were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,63 cases in each group. The patients in the control group only received radiotherapy treatment, and the patients in the treatment group accepted hyperbaric oxygen plus radiation therapy. The treatment effect and the improvement of clinical symptoms between the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the control group was 96. 8%,and treatment group was 85. 7%,with significant difference( P〈0. 05); The clinical improvement of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group, with significant difference( P〈0. 05); after 3 years of follow-up,3 year survival rate of the treatment group was 54. 0%,significantly higher than that of the control group 33. 3%,with significant difference( P〈0. 05). Conclusions Hyperbaric oxygen plus radiotherapy for brain tumors can achieve obvious curative effect and reduce the incidence of late complications, improve the quality of life of patients. It has positive clinical use and popular value.
