摘　　要：《东南亚古代史》一书是北京大学梁志明教授带领的优势团队多年合作的结晶。该书详尽地论述了东南亚殖民时代之前的发展历程,全书资料丰富,脉络清晰,架构完整。该书是中国学者在发挥中国古籍资料优势的基础上,结合国外关于东南亚历史研究的新成果而完成的。东南亚对于中国的重要性日益上升,中国从政府到民间也越来越重视东南亚,这就需要更加全面地认识东南亚——当然包括东南亚的过去,而《东南亚古代史》一书就是关于东南亚过去的论著,恰好有助于各界更为全面地认识东南亚。The article aims to discuss the importance of A History of Ancient Southeast Asia. The book,published by Peking University Press in 2013 ,has been finished by Professor Liang Zhiming from Peking University and his group including scholars whose major are about the history of states in Southeast Asia. Though there has been some great works about the history of Southeast Asia around the world,the book has been the only one by Chinese schol-ars to cover the history of Southeast Asia before 16th century. As the importance of Southeast Asia for China is in-creasing,it is necessary for Chinese to know more details about Southeast Asia,including the past of Southeast Asia which has been examined by the book. It will be helpful for anyone who has been interested in the relations between China and the states in Southeast Asia,to understand the nature,development of Southeast Asia.
