摘　　要：唐代是中国小说发展极为重要的一个时期。这时候的小说创作与史官文化联系极为密切。由于作者追求叙述的真实性,唐代小说成为后世了解唐文化的一个窗口。这种情况的出现,为学者利用社会历史研究方法研究唐代小说提供了可能性,通过此方法来考察唐代的社会历史背景,可以对唐代小说的创作及主旨有更深更为贴切的认识。但在运用此方法时,不能执着于用时代背景来阐释文本而替代对整篇小说的综合体察,否则会对作品主题有偏颇的认识。本文以唐代士人的婚姻与仕宦之关系为例,探讨用社会历史研究法研究唐代小说的得失。The Tang Dynasty is an important period in the development of china＇s novel. The novel writing had close relation to the historiographer＇s culture. The Tang＇s novels served as a media because the author pursuit the novel＇s reality. The scholars can use socio-historical research method to investigate Tang＇s social context,then have more deep cognition about the gist of Tang＇s novels under this circumstance. But we can＇t use this method to replace the comprehensive survey when study on Tang＇s novels or else we will have a biased cognition about its theme. This paper discusses the advantages and disadvantage of the socio-historical research method when studying the Tang＇s novels through the relation between the matrimony and being an official of the intellectuals.
