摘　　要：美国人类学家霍尔(Edward·T·Hall)把文化分为高语境文化和低语境文化,认为中国文化属于高语境文化,美国文化属于低语境文化。本文借用霍尔的高、低语境理论,分析不同时期中国文化的语境特征,认为中国文化应该是一个动态发展的过程,即在不同的社会发展阶段,它会呈现出不同的高语境或低语境特征。American anthropologist Edward·T·Hall divided culture into high-context culture and low-context culture, and he classified the Chinese culture into high-context culture and the American one, low-context culture. After analyzing the characteristics of Chinese culture in different social periods by Hall’s theory, the article thinks that Chinese culture is dynamic, that is, in different periods of social development, Chinese culture will show itself either a high-context culture or low-context culture.
