摘　　要：布伊尔的生态批评思想秉承并进一步发展了西方美学传统。他把文学作品定位为想象世界,并试图在想象的文学世界中寻找克服现实环境危机的途径。他把美国文学史上的知名作家从生态话语的视角进行研究,跨越了按照已有文学研究惯例划定的"文学"和"非文学"的界限。他的生态批评三部曲《环境想象》、《写给濒危世界》、《环境批评的未来》,为生态批评的版图划定、理论建构、新近发展等,做了比较全面和深入的阐述。Lawrence Buell＇s ecocriticism inherits the tradition of western aesthetics and promotes its development.He locates literature in an imaginative world,and tries to explore the ways of overco-ming the real environmental crisis in this world.He studies famous writers in the history of American literature from the perspective of ecocriticism,crossing the borders currently defined between litera-ture and non-literature.His trilogy including The Environmental Imagination,Writing for an En-dangered World,and The Future of Environmental Criticism have drawn a fundamental map,con-structed a clear theoretical framework,and explained fully the recent development of ecocriticism.
